We need all sane Russians who want to live in a democracy and in freedom to keep fighting and take their country back from Dictator Putin.

Yes, every Russian will play chess everyday.

@Jasper Percabeth yes it's uncomfortable to hear that someone who represented your nation and won international medals for Russia correctly identifies that the nation is ruled by a corrupt mobster with fascist tendencies and a strong control over the Russian media and narrative.

Yes, he will give Moscow to Ukraine and start a fight with china. It’s a good deal for Russians.

I share his perspective on Western persistence in questioning Putin will "back down", etc. It is as if they read nothing of Russian political doctrine and ideology, and hear nothing about Putin and other officials say. We seem to be intentionally self deluded, or stubborn and recalcitrant in our wishful thinking. Frustrating indeed.

Yea, the "wonderful person", who doesn't accept his own daughter, who has such a huge ego he did everything to win in chess when he was an active player, who betrayed his own Motherland, who is hated by Russians.

When I listen to Kasparov I remember why I never had any problems with intelligent people while I spent half of my life locking heads with the dumbar..es of the world who wanted to tell me, how arrogant it is to believe in your own judgement when everybody else is telling you otherwise... I love him (and his unforgettable chessplay!) - and he didn't loose against deep blue, they cheated, he knew it, they knew it. That's why they destroyed the log files immediately after the match...

Lets have Kasparov as the next president of Russia! He is highly qualified and perfectly suitable. A man of dignity and international respect. A bridge over troubled water!

I think he was right about AI. When we think of AI we shouldn’t imagine Terminator because, not only is Terminator a piece of fiction, but a piece of fiction written by film producers who had no actual expertise in AI when they wrote it. How could they have any expertise? They wrote it back in 1984. The internet was still in its infancy and AI was a far off pipe dream at that point. My point is that very, very, very rarely are Hollywood films ever actually accurate representations of the concepts they are depicting. Real life Great Whites are not monsters like the shark in Jaws. Dinosaurs probably were not the roaring, ultra-aggressive, killing machines of Jurassic Park, and there’s no reason to assume or even suspect that AI will ever resemble anything like Sky Net.

Exactly right. A bunch of spoiled rich kids in the nepotistic clique called "Hollywood" making juvenile movies in California are definitely not the people to learn about things from, especially an emerging science like A.I., and I'd add that someone like Elon Musk, who is certainly not a scientist and didn't do the engineering that made him rich, is not one to learn from, either. When you actually learn about A.I. as I did in graduate school, it's hard to be frightened by what in reality is just another tool to do mathematical things like classification more quickly for whatever purpose. As the very wise Mr. Kasparov said, new technologies can be used for good and bad purposes, but A.I. is nothing like what people imagine.

With cost of “black gold” at 15-23 dollars per barrel, the USSR economy collapsed, and the sovok itself collapsed, and the "golden" horde ("russia") budget can only be fulfilled only with oil price at $ 42.4 and higher
