When I play this at 1400 and lower, opponents main strategy (often) is to make the queen/bishop battery on the dark squares and go for my bishop on g7 right away.

This one requires an early h6 and not castling sometimes. Or play an early c5, with Qa5 intentions and pinning the knight on c3. Overall though analyzing your games with the engine or stronger players.

This is great advice!!! I just started to play the KID and the pirc because they are very similar and can be used as white. Love your work. I do have trouble against the kings gambit though

great vid bro! appreciate u. I got to 2200 lichess just playing b3 as white and b6 as black but now I'm trying to learn some "real" openings, including KID as black against d4. it's tough but hopefully worth it. playing so dynamically isn't easy. thx for the vid keep up the 🔥 content

Thanks, good video, for a beginner, I find this opening for black excellent, allowing me to follow the rules for opening. This is the only opening I've been using for black, and I'm getting very good at covering off the threats coming from white. Slow to start, but aggressive as the game goes on .

The only issues I sometimes have with the KID and Nimzo set up is that aggressive opponents always push their pawns and threaten to take my knight.

Yo! Mar del plata is the scariest. Bayonet Attack you can get quick and fun play with Nh5, f5, Nf4, fxe4, Bg4, and fun tactics.

that is a tough one! Try to delay castling and play h6, maybe even castling the same way white does but that takes patience!

Thanks so much! hahaha As a beginner ANY opening is good to learn, as it will serve you well and better as you get stronger and develop a greater understanding. Queens Gambit Declined is a very basic, simple, but solid opening you can add to your repertoire! Thanks for the sub!
