This Gambit is full of poop, I just used it and utterly destroyed my opponent, and it wasn't even a full Gambit He did not protect with the knight, so my knight remained on the best square, protected by the pawn. After constant checks I started pushing my second knight up the board, he attacked it with his bishop and I checked him once, he retreated his King. After that i put my rook on the f file which had his king and my knight. He took the free bishop then I unleashed my first discovery while forking the Queen, bishop and king after his king moved I took the Queen he started crying He tried attacking my Queen hoping to drive it away, my bishop was not having it. Before I knew it I mated him. Accuracy 84.2 and that is the highest I've ever received. Thank you.

I played against the jerome gambit twice and i won both games. I feel like the jerome gambit should not be played at higher levels because if black defends properly (which most 1500+ rating players do), then black will dominate the game and win. I feel like it's really silly to play the jerome gambit D;

After analyzing the gambit, although I think it has some interesting implications, I feel that it's mostly based on blind faith. In this gambit, I would actually prefer 6.d4 instead of the main line 6.Qh5+. I feel like this alternative gives White a more reasonable game.
@johnvuillemot48055 жыл бұрын
Well...they can take that seems...actually good, they cant recapture...so dont you just get 2 pawns for a piece plus activity and castle rights...that may make this playable

Can you do a video on the wing gambit? (1.e4 c5 2. b4) It looks a bit like the benko gambit when both the A/B files are open and the d2 pawn cannot immediately move cause it would stop castling. I've had someone play this against me and i didn't really know how to combat it
@johnvuillemot48055 жыл бұрын
It ain't a benko at all. They just want a big center and a nice diagonal for their bishop. My recommendation, dont play the sicilian. Or take and play passively, e6, d6, g6, bg7 nf6 0-0 etc. Just get to a pawn up endgame

@PTS3284 жыл бұрын
At about 1:50 mark why not play pawn to d4, attacking both bishop and knight and also opening up the lane for ur dark square bishop for a (whatever it’s called, pin or skewer) on the king and queen . If by chance black decides to just give up that knight or bishop and save his queen by whichever move, like bishop to e7 or whatever then u grab the knight with check, have two pawns in the middle and just simply an easy win imo...
@PTS3284 жыл бұрын
UnKnown X ya sure he could, but then bishop to g5 and his queen is gone. I’d do queen for pawn all day

I don’t understand why you don’t just take the bishop before check, is it just because it gives them a chance to move with tempo?
