I'm a 1600 rated player. I used to play this opening but decided to start playing something less agressive since I felt like it was critical to know the right move for a long time to maintain the advantage. Maybe I'll start using this again after I've seen this video. Thanks! :)

Hey! Ya that's very understandable, it is a very sharp gambit and preparation and memorization are both important. However, once you put in the time for that, you will be in business. If you do make a return to it, let me know how it goes! (Remember, play what you LIKE the most! If you're comfortable, you will play better!)

Ive got a real nice chessbook in my collection Mastering the Middle game by Alexander Panchenko (Brilliant book get it now!) written and influenced by Russian grand masters form the Russian school of chess....Anyway,The first game example in the book is paul & ernest morphy new orleans 1850 and its the evans gambit...And its spot on,i couldnt belive it,even back then.Great upload...

The 1800 level computer likes to play 4...pB5 attacking white's light squared bishop. I haven't looked up what the real right move is, but i'm serious tempted to just crash into f7, get black's king out, and then take the black bishop
