Hey Solomon, could you bundle all the Pirc videos into a playlist please? Thanks a lot

You can also start your own KZbin video library collecting videos of particular openings. My library has dozens of collections of various openings, in which Solomon's videos figure prominently. My most reviewed video is easily his video on the Vienna Game.

@@robertgonsalves1966 Somewhere under the image area you should see a little circle or square with a plus sign in it that says "save". Clicking on that let's you create collections you can name whatever you want, that are accessed by clicking on "Library". There doesn't seem to be any limit. I have over fifty collections of chess openings and different genres of music.

I have never heard of this variation before. Black could easily get into trouble if he doesn't know what to do. Thank you for posting this. Another great opening video that everybody who plays the Pirc needs to study. I have expressed interest in the past in the Czech Pirc, which consists of the moves d6, Nf6, and c6. There are few videos on this opening, which I have learned is because it's usually considered a variation of openings like Philidor's Defense, the Black Lion Defense, or the Old Indian Defense. It would be really cool if you could gather all these variations into a cohesive opening system.

That's so weird. I requested the Czech Pirc a few days ago as well. It's the hottest defensive system of the moment and needs to be covered here.
@TheChessGiant2 жыл бұрын
I'll get working on this tomorrow and will hopefully be able to release it soon!

Hey Dennis! You talked me into it! Gonna start studying the opening theory and get the process rolling tomorrow.

Remote Chess Academy just did a video on the Czech Pirc (without using the name in the title) showing that you can also play it against 1.d4. I am REALLY looking forward to your treatment of the opening!

Hey Dennis! Still working on that Czech video but here is a link for that Black Lion Defense video! kzbin.info/www/bejne/i5DCoZyXg7Kda5I (You can expect a Czech Variation video next week at some point)

Thank you brotha! Glad you liked it! Ya I as well have been messing around with the Pirc quite a bit lately. Always feel free to send me any chess openings/variations you'd want to see covered and thanks for suggesting that I make a playlist for the Pirc!

That g4 by White is a problem variation in my old standby Philidor/Old Indian, even with no fianchettoed bishop there. Yes, if you can weather these Spike attacks, White is kind of a ruptured duck! Thanks this vid today, Solomon.

You have covered a lot of variations of the pirc, but when are you going to cover the classical? Or have you already done that?
@TheChessGiant Жыл бұрын
I have a small segment on it in my "big" video on the Pirc where I generally cover everything. I'll leave the link here, but yes I gotta make a video just on how to deal with the Classical! kzbin.info/www/bejne/qomZiqBudqujorc

I have yet to come across this variation (I face the Byrne Variation the most) but it good to review in case I do, and middle game ideas and tactic are still valuable here. Thanks

Hey Frank! Glad you got something out of it and enjoyed it brotha. Ya I've been trying to make a video on the Bryne Variation but it's so complicated and I want to put the best possible lines out there. Hopefully I can get that out soon!

A suggestion. You have created a huge collection of tutorials for viewers. It's informative,concise and easy to follow. However it's difficult to search for what we want. For example if I want to view the Pirc defence variations. I have to scroll to all the list and finally find it. It would be nice if you could have seperate playlist for different openings and it's variations. Just a suggestion.thanks
@TheChessGiant2 жыл бұрын
Totally! Thanks for this suggestion. Someone else said the same thing yesterday and I made a playlist for just the Pirc. So if you go to my channel and then playlists you should see it there with 4 videos on it so far. Let me know if you see it!

4:58 we cant take the knight in bishope because our queen has no defence he can simply take our queen

Ah, but the Bishop captures the Knight with check.

Almost! It ends up being a check on c3 however, nice little intermediate move from black.

that was an exciting early king side attack idea for white though. Would love to see something like that work against slow defenses. I am going against .e6 .b6 .fianchetto a lot right now. makes me over extend in center. was looking for a flanking attack early to combat e6b6 stuff.
@TheChessGiant2 жыл бұрын
Hey Dwight! Ya this is a fun variation for white, I'm surprised it's not played more often especially in blitz. And ya, I will have to think on that - it's really hard to attack e6/b6 setups as well as the Hippo. I'll have to think on this - would be good to make a video covering how to go against general systems like this.

Am I off-base here, or is this very close to a Grunfeld line recommendation? Solid presentation.

You're very on base J Dub! I honestly hadn't thought of it like that until I read this comment, but you're spot on.
@jaydub29712 жыл бұрын
@@TheChessGiant The only reason I thought of it was a recommendation from another chess KZbinr (Stjepen aka HangingPawns) that Pirc/Old Benoni players like myself need to have passing familiarity with the Grunfeld because some lines transpose. Thanks for all your content & interaction.

rules of pronunciation are different from one culture to another. it’s not perk (phonetically speaking), it’s sounds like pierce. it’s just spelled pirc. sorry for interrupting. 🤓
