It is amazing to have such high level analysis on KZbin. The Butcher is a cut above.

My favourite line in the Portuguese scandi, and now these super-sharp continuations, explained by the inimitable big Mio, awesome! I can still hear him in my ear "What are you doing MAAAN? Complete your development!". A far better teacher than I was a student :)

Got a game with the Icelandic gambit happening today as black. Unfortunately I mixed the Portuguese and icelandic variation together as I couldn't remember the correct moves 😂 But managed to come out on top after only 21 moves!. Just discovered your channel yesterday, but must say I like it so far!!. Greetings from Denmark.

Lepo.Još jedan kvalitetan materijal. Žao mi je,što nisam bio u prilici ranije da se sretnem sa ovim gambitnim materijalom.Sviđa mi se takav oštar repertoar za crnog. Hvala.Pozdrav.

Hey Mio!! Fantastic video, I loved it :) But I`m just wondering if you are going to make a video on whites sidelines, as 3.d4, 3.Nc3 3.Nf3 and 3.Bb5+ ?

Amazing presentation and analysis as always maestro but I have a question if you'd be nice enough to indulge me : why short castle for Black in the last variation instead of long castle bringing the rooks to the center one move faster? Is it too risky? The a pawn becomes no longer vulnerable because taking it opens the file to White to attack? What is the justification. Thank you and sincere 👏 on your content!

Do white players actually play 3. c4 against you all here??
@petemattingly83614 жыл бұрын
Not really, but I think the more common third moves are easier to play against. Many 3. Nc3’s, but 3... Nxd5 4. Nxd5 Qxd5 transposes to basically normal scandi minus the knight on c3 and you’re at least completely fine. People also play 3. d4 a lot but after 3... Nxd5 4. c4 Nb6 I think you’re still fine.
