Another great video. I never relied on any theory against the czech pirc but this will definitely help! g4 is an amazing plan

After viewing NM Robert Ramirez's KZbin series, I have played the Czech-Pirc for over three years. I have never lost using the Czech-Pirc. I use it against any 1st move. It's especially useful against 1.Nf3, 1.f4, and 1.c4. Initially, I thought your Qe1 novelty followed by the g2-g4 gambit, is so strong it represents a refutation, but Ngf6 or Ndf6 are not the only choices. After Rg1, Nc5 works. Nc5 accomplishes three things: 1) the g4-knight is protected. 2) the c8-bishop's diagonal is no longer blocked, and, most importantly, Nc5 attacks the d3 bishop. It's defense by counter-attack! Your novelty is still quite strong, but the continuation isn't as easy as presented.

Thanks for the nice analysis! White is better, but like you pointed out - not that easy!
@davidstubbs889624 күн бұрын
@@MiodragPerunovicOfficial The 4.f4 variation is the most dangerous. Surprisingly, I've encountered it the least, since folks don't know how to play it. Your "novelty" is practically a refutation. I have found that any and every lunge by white helps black, so black should continue to develop and not exchange. As GM Igor Smirnov says, "To take is a mistake!" White usually obliges and I win in counter-attacking style every time. Black must not be in such a hurry to castle, because if the queen is moved to e1 after black has castled, it's too late since the black queen is exposed at a5 AND the bishop is hanging at e7. There is no need to panic. If Kh1 or Qe1 are played, the queen must retreat to c7 before casting.; then either exchange at d4 or play h7-h5. Thanks again for your work. You just helped me make my undefeated Czech-Pirc that much stronger...You're the best!!!

Faced this annoying Czech Pirc and adopted it into my main openings. Now I know how to crush it. Another great lecture.

In one of my first FIDE rated games earlier this year, my opponent (an older club player) played the Czech Pirc. Being totally unaware of the opening's existence, I went into the 4.f4 line but didn't know what to do after 4...Qa5. I figured to play something offbeat and opted for 5.Qd3, which slowly devolved into me being almost losing out of the opening (Stockfish said the position was something like -1.5 after move 11). I'm very happy this video exists now, so hopefully others won't have to suffer from the same ignorance! 😄
