@grumpyoldman02 Sadly this version was never released on DVD but they're going to play Chess in Stockholm this fall if you want to see it live. It probably won't be Helen singing (she's just had a baby) but I bet it will still be AMAZING too see it live so since I LOVE these songs and missed out the last time they had it, I'm SO GLAD they are putting it on again. See you there!

@grumpyoldman02 There is no American DVD, unfortunately - only a European DVD. So either you get a European DVD (and a DVD player that is compatible with European DVDs) or you pirate it. The whole thing is on youtube (search for Мюзикл «Шахматы»), but the quality isn't great.

Has anyone ever found a version with English subtitles? I bought this a few years ago for a couple hundred bucks, and was surprised it didn't have subs on the DVD.
