I have studied chess with Ashwin and also played him and I must say, he is a astoundingly sharp. Superb player, brilliant even. However, I must say, after getting to know him I think he may actually be a far better person than a chess player and he’s one hell of a chess player mind you. It is an honor to know him because he’s very uplifting and incredibly smart and supportive.

tbh unrated shouldn't be allowed to enter. should have to had played 20 games to get some sort of accurate rating.

Theres only one world champion. And his name is Magnus Carlsen. With all respect to the guy, the sub 1800 world champion title is ridiculous, makes no sense.

How many people in the world that are sub 1800 and didnt played this championship? And if everybody could play, how many would not manipulate the rating to stay below 1800?
