This video was shot at the Samarkand Airport after the World Rapid and Blitz 2023. The flight was filled with 20+ Indian players. They were all travelling to Tashkent and then eventually to India or their respective destinations. IM Sagar Shah interviewed each one of them which includes players like Vidit Gujrathi, Pragg, Gukesh, Surya Ganguly, Adhiban, Nihal Sarin, Arjun Erigaisi, Aravindh Chithambaram, Vaishali, Rakshitta, Savitha, Soumya, Bharath and many more. What a lovely video!! Wonderful the way each one of them has not only different thought about the event, and the year, but also to see how they are spending time at the airport - playing, looking at games, chit-chatting. I always love the camaraderie between the Indian players and that was on full display. Favourite bits - Surya quoting Murakami - "Pain is ineveitable but suffering is not" and actually applying it in life. It is amazing how they are able to joke about difficult games.

Look at that pic and tell me what's wrong. Look at the video shot of Prag, Arjun and Nihal walking up to the playing hall at the rapid and blitz. Look at the video shot of Prag, Arjun, Nihal, Vidit etc at the table. There's some high school bs going down in Indian chess. Gukash is always off to the side or trailing behind the main group. I could be wrong, but from what I've seen as of late, it seems like Gukesh isn't really apart of the group. I mean look at that pic and tell me Gukesh is one the guys. He looks like a stranger who accidentally got into the picture from the back. They all have their arms around each other and you're telling me they couldn't squeeze Gukesh into the backrow. A pic is worth a thousand words.
