The little girl cracks me up. She watches intently for about two minutes, looks around, gives a yawn and is off, never to return.

Hate it when Nakamura shakes his head in disgust -- he's so easily frustrated and dissuaded in his chess. He's a great player, but his emotions keep him from competing for the world title.....
@evitthought96419 жыл бұрын
hmrhuang He is competing for the word title. He is rated over 2800 super GM and still in the run for 2016 world championship qualification. Head shaking hasn't hurt him at all
@hmrhuang9 жыл бұрын
Evi Tthought I'm certainly rootin' for him. I admire his competitive drive and ability, of course -- I just wish he displayed more stoicism and be more poker-faced at the table that's all....
@evitthought96419 жыл бұрын
hmrhuang He probably will be much worse player if he was not immotional on the board. That's his personality. Kasparov does the same.

It is a classical draw ending R+P vs R - black king is on the first or second rank in front of the white pawn, and black rook is on the 3rd rank. Once the pawn comes to the 3rd rank, black rook goes to the 8th rank and starts to irritate white king.

Playing Trompowsky for the win, $20. getting an advantage with the Trompowsky, $100. Nakamura's expression after screwing up an endgame, priceless!

No, have the g-pawn.. But that is the Philidor position, and is draw because the black rook is on the 6 file.

@kevlarunderwear22 the point is after b7 the king cant take on h4 because of Rh8+!
@tokyo34848 жыл бұрын
There are no mistake in the end game . Rh5 + it's not possible because pawn takes Rh5

WHO WON ?(DID VIOLENCE ERUPT AT THE END ) ?
@nijatabasov993912 жыл бұрын
well after Kg4 white simply plays h5 so black will have to take on h5 with pawn or king in both cases they lose as in 1st case if you take with pawn then you push g pawn (g6) in 2nd case after Kxh5 you give Rh8+ with next b8=Q

@Achilles9462711 жыл бұрын
At 11:48, why can't White just take the pawn with his Rook? There's no Rook to h5+ by Black as the White pawn on g4 will just take it. No?
@defilerru11 жыл бұрын
it's just doesnt matter. Without black pawn or with black pawn, this ending is typical draw.

Yeah. He huffs and puffs and shakes his head a lot in his blitz games. his defenders say "he's just annoyed at himself for messing up his position". He seems to mess up his positions a lot. Great player - just really badly behaved at the board.
