Been looking forward to this all week. Who would've thought - Chessbrah is the most entertaining and educational chess channel on KZbin. Keep it up.

Yeah Aman is a good instructor.
@droidgeist Жыл бұрын
@@DragonBank Nah, it is kind of new. Chessbrah used to be more about entertainment - but over the past couple of years, Aman has become one of the best teachers on KZbin. The reinforcement style learning in this series, Building Habits, the King's Indian series, etc is WAY more educational than a lot of chess channels on KZbin. I love how he avoids playing the best moves sometimes in order to focus hammering home the thematic moves. There are still some occasional duds - the London series was kind of a disappointment because it got waylaid by Twitch subs giving him challenges. But overall, chessbrah has become elite, S-tier chess education content. Even better than Naroditsky (who is also fantastic), IMO.

39:01 may be the funniest Aman moment I’ve ever seen. Comedic genius!😂

Can you explain why? He never explains why he can't move there
@sammywohl5194 Жыл бұрын
@@MrFitt13 he was making a joke! He could’ve moved there but it wouldn’t have lead to mate unless his opponent’s rook was on e8. That’s why he said it worked the next move.

@@sammywohl5194 These jokes are getting awfully confusing as that sure was a damn good acting job releasing the mouse eight times while his clock was running. But i see your point. That move would not have worked at all unless his intention was simply to open up the e-file. :)

The recap after the match is super helpful, glad you are moving slowly through the ranks to spend more time on this. Funny story… everyone at my chess club plays these systems its not too crazy to shut it down but it can go so wrong if they play lazy against the stonewall

I love the way you're doing the pawn mate at the end, it's like you use the queen as a hook and reel the king in until he hits your pawns. At last chess has a fishing minigame

The f3/f6 move explanation is helpful. I got hit with that in one of my games early and didn't quite know how to handle it. Answer:"...and the final thing we have to do is move the knight out of the way plain and simple". That MilesPepper game was very instructive. It's all coming together though, just have to figure out that advanced French defense as I have seen a lot of those games as black since most play e4 as white.

Stonewall is a good opening to use, especially at the lower to advanced levels -- because it's usually quite solid! Can't attack if you're own defenses are weak. At the highest levels they know how to exploit any weaknesses that structure causes, and if not implemented just right too! Great lessons!
@donlively4334 Жыл бұрын
Is this a gimmick opening? No disrepect, but it works so well that opponents below 1000 can't handle it. Everyone who is doing this is finding amazing success. Great props, Aman. I've graduated from Habits to the Stonewall and killing it. Thanks, eh?

Aman, you sir, are pure class. Wish Eric would learn a thing or 2 about you. I been watching his hippo speed runs (which dropped my ratings by trying it out) and its a good opening but he has dancing gay boys in the background.....too much drinking energy drinks n screwing up the openings...swearing.....it doesnt make for good content and in the spirit of this game. He is not bothered about the chess brah name or reputation. Kindly play the hippo ratings climb please in your style.
