I watched this game on youtube a few years ago. I subed to chessbrah right after. After Shirov was fire on board. To fly to Rekjivick and beat Shirov is the stuff of legends. You da man Aman. Keep up the comedy too.

Did Ivanisevic include this game (a positional masterpiece as far as I'm concerned) in the update? With Shirov we're talking about a guy who beat Kramnik to face Gary Kasparov in the classical world championship - only it never went ahead because of poor sponsorship. Kasparov was still beating super GM's in his late fifties proving that chess is a sport in which age plays less of a factor in decline. At the time of this game Shirov was 44/45. Beating him was an unbelievable achievment for a young guy who wasn't even a grandmaster.

Even to this day Shirov's rating is not that far from his peak, it's within 90 points. So I don't know what you think you're saying.
