Hikaru draws and then withdraws from the tournament, so he only has a couple points and tanks the tiebreaks of everyone that played him, which is more than slightly a dick move.

@@plackiplicki3531 Since there's only 11 games a lot of players end with the same scores (amount of wins) so they'll rank plays who tie for a certain position on the leaderboard depending on how well their opponents played. If you withdraw, you end with a low score since you didn't play out all your games, and you negatively impact your opponent's final standings

Can someone explain how the tiebreaks work? The higher rated opponent that you draw against has a big factor in the standings? That was enough to move Eric by 9 places down when Hikaru bailed out of spite? He did that on purpose?

The better the opponent the 'higher/better' your tiebreaks. A win against Hikaru is great because he's the highest rated opponent you could possibly get, a draw is also very good. Him withdrawing removes his high tie break score, because it wouldn't be fair for othere players who didn't get the chance to face him. Thus also hurting Eric's tiebreaks and dropping him down between 1-9 places.

Took me a lil bit to understand why White can't play Bxf4 @ 1:00:00? Bxf4 fxe opens rook. Qe3 Bxf4 or Rxf4. Man Dubov makes things complicated and puts pressure on you on time!
