Chessington Update October 2024

Welcome back to Chessington for our October update, a lot has been announced for the park over the next few years!
Walk with us as we show you around some of the updates at Chessington, taking a look at the final time for Scorpion Express, along with checking our other areas of the park which are preparing for major changes. Then of course some of the smaller things that are done as the season goes on.

It feels like Chessington are getting ready so that they can start work on the new areas as soon as planning permission is granted.

I think chessington really need to focus on the park over winter, I think they would benefit no winters tail for one season just to focus on improving infrastructure and ride availability. Some of the park is lovely but some looks terrible. The future is looking hopeful with the new plans :)

I have a feeling given late planning, it would be next season a potential break one, it wouldn't hurt them. THink next year could be interesting

@@UKThemeParks Do you think vampire will be open for annual pass day this year? i was quite disappointed with availability last year as most rides were broken or closed.

Hi There, interesting to see, hopefully some investment into Chessington will be imminent, interesting to hear about the control system not working well because they did it for Tiger Rock and it worked fine r.e. Scorpion Express. Kind regards Peter p.s. thanks for sharing your thoughts.

sad to think scorpion will be steaming out the park but i hope Chessington really focus on ride welfare this winter aka Fury & Tiger Rock reliablity also note fury transfer seems to be an issue this year i watched them take apart the drive tires apart & belt in june as well so very cool seeing it again - keep up the good work

Went today and go quite often. Chessington unfortunately is getting very tatty to the point they’re going to struggle to keep on top of things. They can’t seem to look after anything, even the new toilet blocks near dragons fury are already disgusting. It’s just a very run down theme park now. Very sad as it was fantastic up until 2015 I’d say
