Chessington NEW LAND - More plans explained

More plans have been submitted for the new land at Chessington, set to replace Wild Asia.
In this video we take a look through the new plans, before heading into Wild Asia and showing you what they may look like, and indeed what space is being used for what.
The plans set out the new coaster, show buildings along with retail units, food outlets, a soft play area, Chessingtons first Sensory area, along with the relocation of Kobra and the installation of a new flat ride. We show you roughly what will be where in the area, and what may happen to the rides which aren't included.

I agree with you that they will want to keep as many of the flat rides as they can, the Jungle bus it would make sense for that to be in the new childrens area, the Monkey Swinger has a jungle theme so that could fit in with Jamangi area, it could go in the middle which at the moment seems a bit of a waste of space, they could move the Jungle bus there as well, there is room at the side of the area opposite the coaster. I get why the park wants to redevelop the area, it looks run down with old buildings and cracked floors. They also need a new kids coaster and that area was run down as well so it makes sense to build a new one. I think it also makes sense to separate the animals from the rides and get rid of some if they need to. I think the dodgems will be harder to relocate and so they may have to go. It does look like they are putting in a large tea cup ride in the new area which is popular ride and fits with the family market. They are playing catch up as they neglected to invest for years and they know they are going to have to compete with Universal and also with Paultons. I think that the mouse coaster and the Vampire coaster will also need replacing soon as they are both very old now and seem to have reliablility issues.

Alton Towers could really do with Monkey Swinger to combat their flat ride problem if Chessington dont have a home for it

Seems the dodgems seem the most likely spare, towers could do with either or both

sadly Minecraft will be coming to one part of Chessington its confirmed cause they signed a contract with Sony who made Jumanji and who will make the Minecraft movie. Project Horizon at Alton Towers is due to be from the same IP family

im sad to see wild asia go it feels like old town all over again speculating about hyperia, as much as i dont want an IP area i think it will be minecraft as the new film is going to be out next year i think. I just hope no matter whats brought in is high capacity and reliable...

I don't think it will be Minecraft themed, I think the building shown in the plans is just a block out version to show the size of the building.
