My mum worked there in the second world war, as my grandfather knew Mr Goddard the Chessington Zoo owner. She was apparently the only member of staff who wasn't on the animal side, as there were no supplies for the tearoom or ice creams etc. Even though larger animals were evacuated it remained a popular place to visit as it was one of the few places that had camera film, so families went there to get a photo to send to their service members posted abroad

The reason why I put 1300s to 2019 in the title, is because at the start of the video I go to the beginning of the burnt stub mansion's construction which happened to be in the 14th century.
