It's funny how watching someone else play you see tactics and certain moves easily. But when you're actually playing, you get tunnel visioned a lot more. 😅

Great comment. I feel the same. My analogy is that it's easy to sing along with a song while it's playing. When you have to sing it a cappella it's a different experience.

They sound so weird in English; but these metaphors are common ways to communicate in Romania 😂. They bring me back to Christmas dinners with the family when that uncle who thinks he’s cool drinks a bit too much and loses his filter when imparting “heartfelt advice” 😂 Merci @AlexBanzea for the great content! ❤

Alex!! I almost cried today! I played the Jobava London just like you told us. He went for the bishop / knight to c2 “gambit”. I sac’ed the queen just like you told us AND I skipped my little knight to c7, JUST LIKE YOU TOLD US. HE PULLED HIS KING OUT AND I FKING CHEKMATED HIM WITH MY WHITE BISHOP! ALEX IT WAS BEAUTIFUL! MY HEART IS POUNDING! GOD BLESS YOU AND GOD BLESS ROMANIA!!!! AND GOD BLESS JOBAVA!

Congratulations for the Award! 🙏 I have a request: it would be great if you could cover an alternative in the advance variation, instead of 3. ... c5 3. ... g6 which I think is a fine approach as well, especially for an intermediate player, as soon as he understands the basic ideas. Hikaru has tried this in Blitz Games and won, so it looks like a sound opening. (Of course Hikaru is not an intermediate player, before Somebody misunderstands my comment...)

what I'm really impressed is that my 600-700 elo opponents (in blitz) give me more trouble, and have usually 80-90% precision against my Caro Kahn (I'm doing the course now for 3 months, 46 variations studied). But those in the 1000s that I see in the videos seem to play quite confortable for black, and manage to blunder a lot.

Congrats for your award man, I took on the caro-kann because of you. been using it for a year I am no longer confused playing as black anymore, I am starting to move away from it now ( my ranking went up 150 pts thx to it ) and starting to enjoy the Sicilian more (old variation) . Main reason is I m startign to find Caro boring. Any advice to make it more entertaining ?
