@doffchitty1875 It's such a shame that we have to even think like this. I am lucky because I moved to Cornwall from Yorkshire 27 years ago. I am a Yorkshireman and miss the banter and people. I would still rather my family and kids feel safe down here though. You get small pockets of bliss like this, but not many.

Thank's guy's me and the wife realy enjoyed that one .we've had several trips to Chester in the past , plenty of drinks around town then off to the racecourse with our gang ,brought back some lovely memories thanks. Had a few days in Chester last year and loved it, stayed in house not far from where the Xmas markets were, I loved the place. Near Liverpool and North Wales to, Liverpool would be good for a blog btw

Such a great stopover, was there Friday night. You went to 3 great pubs, Pied Bull is excellent and The Saddle is my regular when in Chester, have great Music every Saturday night If you visit again try the Brewery Tap and the Kings Head, both just around the Corner from the Eagle

If you liked Chester, I reckon you’d also really like Shrewsbury - a lot of lovely medieval/listed buildings, great pubs & eateries, and picturesque views of the River Severn - but make sure you go when the weather’s a bit better, as the river level gets pretty high during prolonged heavy rain!

Got a suggestion for you… Haxey Hood day on 6th January. (Villages between Scunthorpe and Doncaster) Amazing local tradition approx 650 years old!! It’s a great laugh. Push for westwoodside though!!

As you were both looking in the old dolls shop, you should've looked behind you and nipped into one of the UK's most haunted pubs (Ye Olde Kings Arms) also known as 'My Haunted Hotel' it dates back to 1622... I've visited a few times... the food, beer and staff are beyond excellent... you can stay overnight in the pub as well... as I've done 3 times... it's creepy as hell, and yeah... things happened. Yet another wonderful video James! Loved it.

As far as I know, York is the only complete city wall, it certainly was when I was last there, but Chester is almost complete, it falls away and you walk along the street a ways and re-join the city wall. I have spent several times in both Cities and know them very well - but from about 15 years ago now ...
