I decided to test out the functionality of a new GoPro camera at Chester State Park by trying to video some topwater bass action and unintentionally hooked up with the largest fish of my life: the one that got away...

I’ve never tried fishing from the bank, but I would estimate that at least 1/3 of the perimeter is easily accessible by foot.

I hate to hear that, but something to be mindful about that place is that the water there is always muddier than the surrounding lakes. Why? I don't know, but it's just naturally muddy. That isn't necessarily a bad thing, but last week we had historic rainfall that has everything muddier than normal. I can't even imagine what that water looks like right now.

Hambone Fishing - They’re in there alright. In fact, that’s one of my favorite places to go. If you decide to give it another shot, I’ve found it’s always uncharacteristically muddy-way muddier than the surrounding water whether it’s rained recently or not. Don’t know why. Something to keep in mind with lure selection. But thanks for watching. Sweet logo, btw. I’ve subscribed-gonna give your videos a gander a little later.

I'm actually not much of a crappie fisherman. You might want to check out The Old Fisherman KZbin Channel. That's Steve Commalander and he's a big crappie/perch fisherman and does a ton of videos usually in the Lake Monticello/Lake Murray area. You might find some good information there.

Started fishing there this year, had some luck but not a lot. Looks like you fished on the other side of the long pier. There is a guy who fishes from shore and always catches some really big bass there. Also, that other guy showed you no respect in fishing location. I always try to show my fellow sportsmen some courtesy.

Ron Auvil - I’ve caught fish in the other parts of that lake, but have had my best luck on the other side of the pedestrian bridge in those reeds. And I wish I would’ve caught a monster in that guy’s sloppy-seconds water to teach him a lesson, but it just wasn’t meant to be. Thanks again for watching.

KLR Guy Adventures - It’s on the list. I’ve heard good things, but probably won’t make it out there this year. I’ve still got a couple theme videos to shoot and I’m running out of good weather.
