It's good to see the river clearing up, and the rebuilding making progress. I'm also glad that you have some places which have stayed familiar. What a fantastic bridge, too, to have survived when so many others failed!

Good to see so much recovery work going on in the right places. Already imagining what a difference Spring will make to the whole area. Keep going, you're a real positive voice for people.

Thank you for the continued prayers! Noli is a blessing you never would have thought you would get on a drive to work. She was with another stray brown dog that was eating a dead opossum in the middle of the road. I took a video of them and was gonna just post it online to see if she was lost, but when I went to drive away she chased my car and something told me to stop. When I did she laid under my car and wouldn’t move. I had to climb under and drag her out from under it. Another guy stopped and said he tried to get her to come to him the day before but couldn’t get her or the other dog to come to him. I guess it was meant to be! Someone else managed to catch the brown dog too also later that day!

Thank you for posting this, its the exact area i visited. Set up camp in the woods and in the middle of the night, a train came within 15 feet of my tent. Didnt realize there were tracks back there. I hope you're doing well and staying warm. Enjoy your Christmas, God bless.

Hope you enjoy your Christmas aswell! I have many fond memories up there as well. That rec area spot where you could park with the bathrooms was my favorite catfishing spot on the river when I was little. We use to sit folding chairs in the middle of the river on that shelf that was there and fish the channel. People would look us funny sitting out there until we pulled up that stringer!🤣

The train track bridge was my happy place. Have fished around there for 25 years. It really does not look that different. Thanks for the video !

I remembered you saying that in one of the other videos and that was one of the reasons I wanted to get back there to get some footage of it! I never had Much luck under the train tracks, but the hole that was on up the road off the side of the big hill was one of my favorites and has been on the channel before!

Great videos. Haul off the junk cars in front of Tractor Supply while you’re at it….and fix that massive water leak running down Main Street for months.

Aren't they allowing traffic in there yet? I'm itching to fish it again..

No signs saying you can’t drive in and it’s not listed on the national forest closures so I’d say you are good to go. Lots of cars was parked there and I saw a truck come down the road too

is red banks campground destroyed ??
@droutdoors45602 күн бұрын
All of the property USA Raft owned on the river got hit pretty hard. The red banks campground you can see from the bridge near the hotel and gas station and the campground all the way in the back in chestoa both got hit really hard

It will heal only problem is all my happy places are gone and I probably won't live to see them again and I've always said that River road was too tight and has the little floods come along the river will change back to more normal
