I don't think I ever seen Chet so in sync with other musicians. I usually listen to his solo work, but this is just magnificent. I wish I was born 40 years earlier to witness this more mellow, soulful time of music and jazz in particular. Anybody here aware of band who plays similar music these days ? I'm open to suggestions.

This is my absolute favorite Chet: with Phillip Catherine and Jean Louis Rassinfosse. I am so used to this Chet ensemble that I have a hard time listening to Chet with piano, drums, and other instruments. I find it too loud, too many unnecessary things going on. Chet, Phillip & Jean Louis are exquisitely simple and great. The quality of the video distorts sound, but still much appreciated.
