I would love to visit these small communities, is there a good way outsiders can visit? My Dad and I visited Alaska for the first time in September 2020 from Texas. We visited Anchorage, Homer and Seward then flew to Fairbanks from ANC and drove to the on AK-2 (the only way to get there) Dalton Hwy, tried to visit Central on AK-6 but had to turn around after mile marker 110 because the car seems like it would fall off the road in the ice/snow. We visited Chena Hot Springs and saw Eielson Air Force Base. Near Homer we felt adventurous and drove to near Kachemak Selo and almost lost the rental car on a dirt road switch back. Alaska is beautiful and the landscape is intimidating. The mountains north of Fairbanks looked like hills at first until we found out that they were bigger "hills" then we thought. Alaska is a must visit. We had such a great time there and the people we met were incredible. We never made it into Kachemak Selo due to numerous "No Trespassing" signs after the beach yet we met a young local on an ATV who told us about the area. Alaska is just lovely and we were fortunate to visit when the weather was perfect for us. Thank you for sharing. Even 4k videos I found out do not capture the beauty of Alaska, you have to see and feel it for yourself and the air is so clean. Can you tell I loved Alaska? lol.

Chevak looks different from 1975. During that time my dad was hired as a carpenter to build a school. The wrestling team i was in were called The Dragons. It changed a lot since then.
