To the ones saying he can't sing... wtf, think about it. He's on tour and his voice will get tired. Also, generally when you have someone who can genuinely play the guitar with feeling and do it so naturally (not just anyone can do it), they also tend to be able to sing very well. Their ears are sensitive to things being out of pitch and because of this, they can easily correct their voice so that they are in pitch. Trust me, Pete can sing.. he has GREAT control and his vocal style takes more than just opening your mouth to sing. Lots of factors that go into using singing techniques and this guy has been training for YEARS, ha. Moral of the story.. we all will have times where we will fuck up.

The downside of not having a rhythm guitar player, you can't really play solos live unless you have a rhythm guitar playback and I don't think Pete believes in using playbacks live. What you see is what you get. A true live band and no gimmicks.

Honestly, sci-fi crimes was their favorite album of mine, but that's up to preference, and even though their newer stuff isn't as good as their older music, it's still good in my opinion.

Dude cant sing his own songs. I remember when they did the Red live on Letterman and the whole mystique wore off. They changed their sound to "more reflect the sound of the live band"; probably for the very reason that live there is ZERO harmony and he doesnt attempt to hit the notes And i get it. Its really hard to play lead guitar and sing. The first few albums are studio gold though

@@andrewisjesus yeah that’s weird. I’ve seen them live several times. Sure he isn’t the best singer and isn’t young anymore. But the performance was right on. They toned the guitars a bit down on some songs. But overall Pete did a good job. This video doesn’t do it justice. I mean this looks like it was recorded with an iPhone. It doesn’t do it justice. You have to be there If you want a band that sucks live. Is deftones. I’ve been with them for a long ass time. I love the dudes to death. But chino sucks ass singing. Especially now that he’s older. His voice is fucking awful lol don’t let a hardcore fan tell you they’re great live. Chino gasses out so fast now after a few songs. He doesn’t even fully sing the choruses anymore lol But chevelle have been consistent every time I’ve seen them. They aren’t going anymore so expect some change.

Because Chevelle is a 100% live band, one of the last ones in this modern age that plays 100% live. Most modern bands use playbacks and other gimmicks to achieve good live sound, there is none of that with Chevelle. And with 100% live performances, you get imperfections. It's a live performance after all, if you want perfect studio replications, listen to the damn CD then.

@@andrewisjesus their live performances are hit or miss, and I think part of it is probably because they are a 3 piece, but some of their performances are great, some are bad (I've seen them live and they were great when I saw them, but I've also seen recordings where that specific show sucked). That happens when people perform music, especially when there are so few people in a band (not saying they should have more, just pointing that out).
