For some universities, it will have a section in their application portal that will require you to disclose if you will be self funding or scholarship. You can state it there. If the application portal does not indicate this, you can mention the scholarship bit once you are given an offer.

Please, I would like to know, in chosing a "Topic" for the essay, do you have to state it as a Heading, or by having it by having it in mind you just write the essay? I would also want to know from your experience, is there any consequences if you do not chose a topic at all? Thank You

Happy to hear that the content has been helpful. Do not state the "topic / theme" as a heading. This is simply a concept I came up with to guide applicants as they write their essays. It is not a chevening requirement. Therefore, simply have it at the back of your mind to help you align your examples to the course you are applying for while thinking about it from a bigger global picture.

- Demonstrate that you have thoroughly researched their 3 chosen courses by mentioning why you have chosen the courses and universities. Share why you chose your courses. What do you hope to get out of studying on those particular courses? How would they benefit your career and development? Referring to professors you’d particularly like to meet, publications you’re keen to read, the reputation of the course, or the specific modules you’d like to study are all great ways to show you’ve done your research.Try to be as authentic as possible. Please don’t copy sentences from university or tourism websites. Share your thoughts about the benefits of studying with a UK university in your own words. - Emphasise how studying on your chosen courses would help you achieve your goals and benefit your home country upon return. - Where possible, state if you have already achieved or if you are in the process of undertaking academic awards, training, short courses, or producing publications. - Also provide a multiple number of examples to demonstrate your commitment to your personal and professional development.

Quick question though, regarding the schools, Can I still pick a school and course whose admission I secured while applying for the commonwealth shared (but wasn't nominated), or you'll advise I get a totally different school and course. What's the possibility that that same school will pick me for Chevening and not Commonwealth Shared?

Are the offer letters still valid? Is it the same course you look to study?

@@faith.edigold yes ma'am. All 3 admission offers are still valid...and I'm applying to Chevening with the same focus...so I thought to just use them instead of having to apply all over again to different schools. If this won't be a wise choice however...I'll gladly find other schools to apply to.

Greatttt...then you can still use them. Do make a slight mention that you have offers to the universities when writing your study in the UK essay

Yes. You've got to write your reasons for each course especially if they are not similar. If they have the same title, you could just write on why you chose each of the universities.

A quick question please. The question asks to explain how it relates to previous academic or professional experience. How about those of us who are looking to change careers. For instance the cause of study is not related to what you currently do but what you want to switch careers to da. How do you go about that?

I'd advise that you mention any short courses, trainings or certifications you've undertaken. If you don't have these, stick to professional experience only. Remember that Chevening says academic *OR* professional experience so you are still covered. The problem would be if you don't even have any work experience.

These can only be found on the school website. Capitalise on other aspects of the school i.e. modules taught if you can't use professors.

Yes you can talk about those but do not copy a full sentence from a site. As long as you paraphrase, you will not be penalised for plagiarism.
