You are welcome. Yes. A theme keeps you consistent through out your four essays. Do not put the theme as a heading though. Just have it at the back of your mind.

Thanks. No. Referees will not know when you just mention their email on your application. Feb to late April, Shortlisted candidates will be requested to submit two references and their education documents prior to their interview date.

Hello! Thanks for the detailed videos but as I am currently applying for Chevening scholarships,I observed within the steps of the application,there is not yet an option for the filed which can be chosen by an individual.Though here in the videos,you have mentioned an M.A in peace etc. So how can we predetermine the field and then write the tailored answers for it? Kindly answer this,how can we find out field? As this has not been specified in the application and we haven't been given a choice.

No 😃. Please do write it as a title anywhere. It just needs to be at the back of your mind to inform what your essay is going to be about which gives you direction on which examples you should pick.

In a word document, you can bold but I do not think it is possible to bold it in the application system.

Hello Mam Faith. Would like to ask for your comments on this one. My current profession is Hydrogeology and Water Management (Hydrogeologist) and my theme for my Chevening application is Hydrogeology. But I am also a member of our Occupational Safety and Health Committee (OSHC) in our office/workplace. Can I include a specific situation where I used my networking skills for OSHC?

Hi. I know you didn’t ask me but just thought to share in case it helps! Maybe if you can find a way to tie your work at the OSHC to your overall passion as a Hydrogeologist it could work. You could try to connect those OSHC relationships/experiences to your what you want to achieve as a Hydrogeologist, whether as a link to the field of work or as a learning experience that will enhance your work or character as a Hydrogeologist. Does the essay have to be structured into introduction, body, and conclusion?
