I enjoyed both Edd and Ant's parts of the series; the trouble I believe is that it was Mike Brewer's show and I think he didn't want to let Edd have a larger share of the show then him. But now, as the show is now made mainly for the US market, it has to be so short of real detail, as the attention span of the usual viewer in he USA is pretty limited. I still watch the series; but enjoy it less then I originally did. They could take much longer with the cars, and Ant should be allowed to go into far more detail in his segments. Would love to see Ant continue doing up cars in the USA and Edd doing the same here in the UK. That would, in my humble opinion, be the best outcome for this series. Stay Safe everyone.

The show producers decided that it was far too costly and time consuming to film in the old format. Mike wanted to keep the show going in a cheaper format, while Edd didn't agree. Kudos to him.

Thank the Good Lord that Corvette Blogger brought back this episode for us to look at. Edd China is the greatest mechanic of this type to ever grace a television screen. I will say that attempting to keep the car stock would provide the proud parental approval of the National Corvette Museum and Bloomington Gold, Silver and Bronze and the rest of the judges who really know the Corvette. One change over I always approve of is a front wheel disc brake conversion. So much better stopping power for so little money, comparatively. A Master cylinder kit can be employed if that is needed as well for safety. I just want to thank Wheeler dealers for bringing back the man who knows what's what when it comes to these kinds of shows. It is hoped that Mr. China is doing well, whatever his pursuit. AF

Hey Edd good to see and hear you explain stuff. I owned a 64 Corvette Convertible back in 66 thru 1970. I worked it over a lot, and yes the brakes are very old school. I used to back up and apply the brakes hard to get the adjustors to work better. But corrosion and rust can make them sticky too. It was so fun to hear you complain about the spark plugs. I used do the back two from underneath. I was very young and had no money, no lift etc etc. You take care Edd, missed you buddy. Dennis in Virginia US

Not necessarily. One, since the car is still running well, there's a strong possibility that it's already been done, or that someone has been religious with a lead substitute additive. Two, general consensus is that hardened valve seats aren't really necessary for that era Corvette.
@RealDeanWinchester
@RealDeanWinchester 3 жыл бұрын
@@channell11 I was being sarcastic. Leaded fuel didn't do anything for the valve seats. It was an anti knock compound. A complete myth just like using R134a in an R12 air conditioning system or ultra low sulfur diesel will wear out injectors. The current myth being perpetuated in the US is ethanol in gasoline will ruin your engine, but only if it's in a small engine???? Oh yes, gasoline goes bad in 6 months also. Total garbage, all of it. You'd be better off waiving a dead chicken over your car than following any of that stuff.

PRODUCT??? I have tried it and never was able to improve the performance (apples to apples) of my vehicle or customers vehicles. They didn't last. Chrysler and most foreign cars seem to run great on Champion spark plugs...It always seemed that certain plug brands work better in some engines than others.
