Amazing good for you. For me harder to tare down. Seized bolts. No idea the order. Clean up. And new gaskets and torque all the important stuff and you are crushing.

I have a mild coolant leak at one of the gasket failure points shown in this video. Sigh, I could do all this work and spend the money, but i guess after seeing how long it will take, I’ll just put it off longer. 😂

These engines also deteriorate the block a head . You may open up a bigger can of worms drive it till it dies

Bring it to me I'll do it cheep doing may 3rd one now. Fyi you don't have to take all the injectors out just leave on the intake and remove with intake, save yourself the headache.

Notice half “moon” stain on pass rear cyl wall? Coolant was pooling in cyl.

Awesome video water pump was leaking, replaced it turns out there was a massive crack on the cylinder head

@@MyHomeGarageMy Aunt got one and I'm the one to fix it. I haven't started yet but I'm looking online to see various way to prevent me from messing up. Edit: Only reason I'm doing it is because I'm 18 and I am trying to get as much experience as possible.

Sorry to hear that. Mine is still ok after the repair. I will do an update on it soon. I believe this is a flawed engine design combined with the claimed long life coolant that becomes corrosive and eats away at the block and head and gaskets. Otherwise great engine and vehicle that has been great since new.

@@MyHomeGarage I already replaced the head gasket on it 18 months ago but I didn’t have the head machined and now it’s worse than ever. It started using water and running hot just like before, now its missing and dumping water in the oil and out the tailpipe pipe. My oil level was double so I decided to park it before I do more damage.

I recommend that as well on the rear manifold. The front i was unable to remove dip stick. I had no choice.

I also didn't send out heads as it is a vehicle my family uses locally and isnt worth it. Plus the damage i had was on the block. I had a small depression. Coolant ate away at the passenger side of the block. Weird stuff.

There isn't much could be a bad bearing, piston skirt knock wrist pin. Too many variables

"Use the opposite of the installation procedure to remove the cylinder heads to avoid warpage" Not sure if this is the first time the heads have come off...I saw the order you removed them, is that from the MFG installation?

The way I removed them is from outside in. Installation is inside out. Which is manufacturer recommended procedure I believe.

Perfect. I assumed so but I wanted to ask. Came off nice and smooth. I think I've caught it soon enough that I don't have any damage. Water jacket part of the gasket blew out and that looks like it so far! I appreciate this video as it saved me tons of time (upper intake off before Valve cover, and bought the fuel release tool. 10$ and took 30 seconds. )

2012 with the 4 cylinder engine completely diffrent engine. If it is he engine I think it is. I would assume minimum 10-15hrs labour's @ 90-120hr plus parts required. Over 2000 for sure
