Chevys will always need engines. Due to them not being very reliable. That's why they're affordable. Cheap parts.

I know what you mean about being unreliable. The 350 tbi in my 1990 k1500 is the unrebuilt oe that is still using the oe distributor, crank, piston rods, pistons, pistonrings , pushrods, head gaskets, exhaust manifolds, and rockerarms. At 405k, I replaced the oe timing chain, and as of today, the odo. reading on the same predescribed oe engine is 522,543 miles and is unreliable enough to use as our daily driver. Unreliable most definitely, LOL.🤔🤔
