Thanks for this video, because I watched I went and changed my PCV valve on my 2003 S10 4.3 manual 5 sp and the rough idle and slight visible exhaust smoothed out and idles much better, and amazing change, I also replaced the hose line from the PCV,👍

Why do you use the 3980 Filter instead of the 3387? have you always used the 39? have you ever come upon low oil pressure with ur blazer because I’ve had low oil pressure when I come to a complete stop but raises after driving but also my oil was goin on 3000 miles but after an oil change no more problems
@PonysGarage Жыл бұрын
It was just a filter that I had bought a while back at my auto store. I have never had an issue with it, so I kept using the same one. I don't think they make this type of Fram filters anymore. Thank you for watching!

Alex Rodriguez, I ended up not only swapping out to a high pressure oil pump, but the distributor and oil pressure sending unit as well.

Amigo. Exelente video. Al menos ya aprendí como descargar el aceite de motor de la blazer. ¿Cuantos litros de aceite lleva una blazer? Saludos.
@PonysGarage7 ай бұрын
Creo que toma 5 quartos y medio de aceite. Gracias por ver el video.

In todays engines it will prime that filter quickly regardless. But I suppose what your doing it the proper way.

I have broken hoses and I don't know where they are connected

I'm not familiar with the air vac system with these trucks. I just know basic things. Here is a link to a better comprehensive video. Hopefully this helps kzbin.info/www/bejne/bXuTlH6po6qFebM thank you for watching.

#quadstatecameras Aha, I was wandering where your channel went. I had a question. I believe you had a book for your colbalt that listed the torque specs for stuff on your vehicle. What is that book. I bought an online version of of the Haynes for my G5 which is basically the cobalt. Problem is that it doesn't list the torque specs. I recently did the ac compressor and had to remove my alternator, again, to do the compressor. I have heard 18 foot pounds. I did 16, plus the thread locker. It works fine. Still what is that book that you have.
@PonysGarage2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I was away for a bit but I did a spark plug replacement on the Cobalt on my previous video. The books I use are haynes and chilton repair manuals. They both have their pro's and con's. Hopefully this helps you. Thanks for watching!

Do you think I can use the 3980 filter instead of the 3387 filter on a 2000 blazer 2dr Ls non 4x4 without any problems?
@PonysGarage Жыл бұрын
That I am not too sure. I would probably just go to my local auto parts and ask. You don't ever want to have the wrong filter on the truck, especially something so vital as an oil filter. Hopefully, that helps!

As Joe biden would say: C'mon maaan. That oil on the dip stick at 3:39 is not the same oil that comes out at 4:50. You forgot to get a shot of the dip stick before so you did it after and slid it in the before change part of the video so you could have a 'more complete' video. Dont matter...but anyone thats changed oil is gonna catch that. Good video tho. Thanks for the tips.
@PonysGarage2 жыл бұрын
You would think that with the color of that oil on the dipstick but honestly it was the old oil on it. I'm too lazy for the fancy video editing 😅. I have never been one to lie on my videos, if you watch the other ones I leave my mistakes on there. Like you quoted Biden " C'mon maan" 🤣🤣 Thank you for watching🙏

Is ur truck a 4x4???
@PonysGarage Жыл бұрын
No, but I wish it was. At the time, I really wasn't into the idea of owning a 4x4 because of the stigma that follows these poor trucks. But if I could get one that was 4x4, I would. They're very rare to find now that are in decent condition.

My brothers been trying to find a Zr2 blazer but 2dr but their like unicorns you bearly see them and I been lookin for a 2dr but with a sunroof now that’s a gem for me 4x4 or not
@PonysGarage Жыл бұрын
@Alex Rodriguez those ZR2's are even harder to find. And the ones you do find are heavily modified, and if they're for sale, people want some good money for them. I hope you guys find one that you're looking for. They are rare but not impossible to find. Thank you for watching!
