I put a Banks exhaust on my 94 suburban 6.5 and it sounds almost stock but with the turbo whistle and no "rap" at higher RPM's. They have not offered that exhaust in many years now which sucks because I'm not a fan of the Dimond Eye rap or pop at higher Rpm. I did remove the soot can plus my Banks is only 3½ compared to DE 4".

What year is your Suburban? Def like the new sound and those aftermarket tow mirrors! Seen a MPG improvement? Any other mods you've done? I have a 96 6.5L TD. So far, I've done PMD relocate and harmonic balancer replacement (standard Dorman for now), but saving $$$ for exhaust (straight piped now). Then, new oil lines from block, pillar guage pack, vac pump delete, and new turbo. Later will be new fuel pumps and then on to tow mirrors, bumpers, winch, etc.

I know this is a year later but I own a 94 and 98 still today, the 94 when new I put a Banks exhaust (no longer available but sounds nicer the the Dimond Eye IMO) and cold air intake on and dumped the vacuum waste gate in favor of a manual waste gate and the power increase and milage were noticeably increased. MY 94 has 4.10's and the 98 has 3.42's and both saw increases, both run 285-70-17's on H2 wheels so other then years and gears they are identical.
