Glad I found you guys. Y'all show the basics of transmissions and break the stereotype that they're super complicated.

It took me 3 shops to finally get a good rebuild. The last shop put in a transgo shift kit, and set it up so it slightly bangs into gear. I was going to go with a 400 short tail, but was told the TH350 had a lower first gear. They added a transmission cooler and have no problems since they rebuilt it 40 years ago. I do enjoy watching your videos. Can a Cruise-o-matic trans be beefed up(66-t-bird w/428) or should I go with a 1967 C-6?

You guys look like you know what you're doing. I just paused on the comment about the detent cable. From my experience, you can eliminate the detent cable (properly), and still retain fully automatic drive. You'd just have to go into 2nd for a passing gear.

That transmission is a damn clown car. When yall went for the main shaft, I'm sitting there going "ok now we see all ze ripped up gears," expecting a single main drive shaft with a bunch of main/sync gears.... Then there were 30 more parts, the entire time you just not even flinching or contemplating, working with the precision like a guard for the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
