Just Installed a dash cam hardwired in my Honda Civic, I am getting radio interference. When I power down the camera the radio signal returns to full strength 🤔 in another video you have a fix on display noise from a reverse camera with a capacitor.. would that fix my problem? Thanks

@17:21 you are inserting the fuse connector and then change your mind to flip it around. Doesn't the fuse connector go in one way and one way only?

Patrick Fitzpatrick great question! No, they are not orientation specific.

thanks for quick response. But the position of the actual fuse into the connector is important? I have a 2017 1500 and installing a garmin 55(w GRND, ACC, BATT). i'm assuming the same techniques apply - just find an ACC fuse and a fuse that is powered constantly for the BATT wire.

Patrick Fitzpatrick the position of the new fuse on the add a fuse is the important part. Accessory means that the switch has fuse when the vehicle is turned on or triggered... battery means that there is constant 12 volt Source 24/7. Edit: I just checked that unit and you are correct it all it needs is a fuse to be added on, just like this video

Great! Thx. All makes sense. Would you have the link to the fuse connector that you used..if it would work for my 2017 1500!

I did this install on my 2015 Silverado 1500 LT. However I’m looking to add a second camera at the rear of the truck, how can I do that? What fuse can I use?

I have a cansonic dash cam and bought one of those wires but they have 2am fueses will I need to buy 7.5 fuse to connect it to that one fuse you connected it to ?
@RaymondUrias6 жыл бұрын
You take the factory fuse and put it on the lower socket and the 2amp fuse on the top
@money586106 жыл бұрын
Raymond Urias the 2amp fuses were factory installed on the top socket so I put the other on the bottom but they still don’t work so you think it’s the fuses that don’t work 2amp ones any segguestions ?
@RaymondUrias6 жыл бұрын
You need 2 fuses in the add a fuse. Make sure it's pushed in all the way and the camera has a proper ground. If it still doesn't power on then I would verify that the fuse you are tapping has power.

Why wouldn't you just find a vacant fuse location with in the fuse box to get your power from rather then a fuse that is being used by another device or what have you.
@chrisstromberg65275 жыл бұрын
Ed Morrow If the truck is fully loaded with options, there won’t be any vacant locations. There may be spots where there is no fuse and no power at that vacant spot.
