I don't think this guy knows what the hell he's reviewing..lol He's not even sure if it comes with the Brembo brake package. The model he has is clearly a 2SS which is fully optioned out. I should know I own a 2017 2SS.

48,500 for a Camaro without MRC, and Brembos... Eh. Either pony up for the Stingray or save a couple G's for the more versatile Chevy SS. By the way love the videos, I hope y'all subscriptions sky rocket.

Every time I see the sticker prices on these things I cringe. Almost $50,000 and it's not even fully optioned out with the best goodies like the magnetic ride control or brembo 6 piston package. I think this is the reason they haven't been selling too well. There are several dealerships in my area that have had the same ones parked out front for almost 3 months now. The people that have that cash lying around for a performance toy are likely just gonna pony up for a corvette. Idk what Chevy was thinking...That being said it is a great performance machine. It's just that I think they seriously misjudged things when they thought people would actually be ok with that kind of price on an SS.

4 Piston Brembos are Standard on every SS and 6 piston will be standard on the 1LE. Also the Onstar Remote Link is a free app that does not require you to purchase any Onstar products. It is free for 5years, but overall great review!

In Belgium this car will cost you an extra 10.500 euro one-time registration tax (this is NOT VAT) and a yearly 4.700 euro road tax. So after you buy this car, you'll pay 15.200 euro taxes + about 1.700 euro if you get an all risk insurance. Fuck this shit.

Coming from someone who currently owns a 2015 1LT Camaro, the steering feels great on that beauty, I'm pretty sure it's electric, but I could be wrong…redardless in a year or less I will certainly be looking into trading up for a 2016 or 17 model, I don't see enough of them out there, and I lose my ish over so much as a picture of these All American bad asses!

I think the 2016 interior looks gorgeous! Have you seen it in all the alternative colors? My favorite combo has to be the Rally Yellow exterior and Kalahari interior, the only problem is you can't pair them up anymore. :(

They kinda go hand in hand, like I said certain interior colors really help bring out the exterior design. If we were looking at a basic Black 1lt with no RS Package, and the generic black cloth seats I would 100% agree with his comment .

The 6 piston brembo brakes are not standard on any model, hence why it costs $3,000 extra. The 6th gen camaro does indeed have electric steering, but so did the 5th gen. The 5th did not have hydraulic steering.

+Parker Somerfield 2010, 2011, and 2012 models had hydraulic steering. And the 2013, 2014, and 2015 had electric. But yea you're still right the outgoing models had electric steering.

there's no doubt this is a nice car, but at the end of the day, no matter how fast or what options are on it, it's still a camaro....it shouldn't be a 50 grand+car. if I'm gonna pay that then might as well just get a corvette for a bit more. think I'll keep my 2003 cobra that'll walk this thing, has retained it's value even after 13 years, and still only has 16,000 original miles on it. camaros and mustangs were originally marketed as affordable pony cars...there's no reason unless it's a zl1, roush, or shelby that a mustang or camaro should be more than 35 grand

Tough call. The SS is raw unadulterated power but feels big and not as easy to drive. S3 is zippy, fun and easy to drive. Which is to say the latter is for the less experienced and less enthusiast. Make sense?

Telling people to drive the auto in manual mode is absolutely terrible advice. GM's 8L90 works much, much better when left in automatic mode. If you want a manual... get the manual. If you get the automatic, keep it in automatic mode.

I test drove this car (auto) and did notice that the down and up shifts were much quicker in auto mode. The paddle shifters were laggy. But when not racing, it would be fun to use the paddles. I hope, one day soon, that Chevy or Ford implements a proper dual clutch tranny in these cars.
@vernonprice5986
@vernonprice5986 8 жыл бұрын
gentlemonsterkennels The auto is faster, but that's all it is. The manual is more fun to drive, more engaging, it weighs less than the auto, it loses less HP through the drivetrain, you have both more control over the engine and a more direct connection with it. The manual is a visceral experience that makes you a part of the driving process, the auto does all the work for you. Autos put me to sleep, they're so boring. You put it in D and then don't do anything else. How is that fun? If you live on a drag strip and you need bragging rights, then sure. Get the auto. For those of us who live in the real world and enjoy driving our cars on real roads, the manual is more engaging and more fun.

If you want something fun and sporty to drive, then yeah, it's a good DD. One thing that you'll have to get used to though is the poor visibility of this car. It's certainly circumvented by the rear view camera, the blind spot detection, and just proper mirror adjustment, but if you're someone who's used to looking over your shoulder before changing lanes then it will hurdle that you'll need to overcome.
