This is how they used to do award shows. They were funny, irreverent, classy, entertaining, sometimes improvised and unscripted, oftentimes sincere, culturally non-toxic, and a helluva lot more apolitical and non-political. The closest thing that we have to that today are these old clips from those shows found here on KZbin. Truly a bygone era, woefully enough.
