I’d open the oil filter first since it’s topside and still holds oil, then drain oil pan

That and allow the old oil at least 5 minutes to drain since all of the crud is always at the bottom of the pan.

i been running the valvoline restore and protect and noticed my car running smoother and quieter. i got rid of my 2.2 wish i had a chance to run that valvoline. my 2.4 stopped burning oil havent topped off at all in 2k miles so far

What engine is it ? 4 cyl 2.2 ecotech ? Have you ever had to replace the seals and gaskets on that engine ?

at 0:01, how many chevy cobalts do you have? you need to change your name to the cobalt King! I have 09 cobalt 2.2 Liter. have you ever had to change the steering column in these cobalts? mine rattles pretty bad.

I do love working on Chevy Cobalts , I currently own five and have owned around 20 , I have changed the steering column a couple times do you plan on changing the entire steering column or just the top half

@ it maybe beyond my DIY skill. I changed the two cv axles diy. If you do another steering column replacement, I would watch it to follow it

Is it normal to see the filter being deformed like that..? I have tried fram ultra synthetic filters they have metal mesh inside the filter. It helps to keep the rigidity of the filter.

No it is not normal, I believe it's from when my car overheated from the water pump going out about a month ago. The heat from the engine could have caused the oil filter to deform 👍👍

What car ramps are those, I have a cobalt too and would like ones that fit it best

They are rhino ramps, I believe I got them from AutoZone for about 50 or $60 👍👍
