For the reason why the Cavalier dad in the race car is because those cars were built on the Cavaliers platform and heavily modified and they stuck the silhouette of the Cobalt on the Cavalier platform because essentially a Cobalt is just a newer version of a cavalier

You should consider autocross racing your street Cobalt. Rear sway bar and coilovers, and it's a ton of fun and dirt cheap.

What did you mean the transmission are interchangeable? Is that for all ecotec motors like the 2.4L can have an f35 transmission? If so. What trans is a good alternative to the f35 for an LNF. My trans broke 2 years ago. I havent had much luck in finding a replacement

Yes, multiple transmissions will bolt up to an Ecotec. F40 would be your best manual option. They are a lot stronger than the F35.

@@bpemotorsports587 thank you for replying and for the information! Do you happen to know what the FZ means on a MU3 trans? Would it still fit an LNF? some cobalt SS forums don't talk about the FZ or being able to bolt on different trans on the LNF. It's has a 4.05 gear ratio. And it's from a 2004 ion redline
