in this video i go threw the hole cooling system on the impala and install a new upgraded aluminum radiator, new water pump, thermostat, and new hoses for the heater core and radiator, also install new fittings on the intake manifold.

I purchased the same windshield washer fluid bottle. To use as a overflow for my radiator coolant.

Thanks for this. I have a 64’ I bought it came to me with heater core hoses gone. I bought new hoses but couldnt figure out where they connect. After this seeing this I realized theres ONE hose connecting the damn water pump to the damn manifold. Wth?!

Yea I had to research and watch videos of restored impalas to see how they were routed and to get the sizes of the hoses

Build a aluminum shroud for those fans and it will cool better.

Everywhere really, if I’m looking for specific impala parts then classic industries, but if it’s engine or suspension parts I go to summit racing, eBay, I got the coolant manifold fittings on Amazon

It’s a short water pump, I used a hose for a 1966 impala but with a/c, the a/c one is longer than the non a/c one

Where did you purchase the two gates heater hoses? I have the same edelbrock rpm air gap intake as you. I'm going to need the 90 degree bend fitting.

We're you able to get top and bottom bolts on the radiator without additional drilling? I'm mounting one of these on a 65 Impala and the bolt holes don't match up

Yes, one runs to the front of the carb, and the other runs to the back of the carb, u can just run one and put a filter on the valve cover for the other one

The water pump I’m using is a short water pump for a 66 impala with a sbc part #CVC-373 it will fit any small block from 60-86 it all depends on ur brackets u are going to use to adapt ur alternator and power steering pump

The bypass plug in the top of the water pump can you tell me what size that it is? By the way I really enjoy your videos they are easy to understand and to the point. Your project looks great

Looks like a 5/8 plug, when u buy a new water pump it comes with it, or u can get one at a home depot

@@kljes just went out back and measured it to make sure looks to be a 3/4, do what I did and take the whole water pump with u, u might get some weird looks but who cares, I know I didn’t

@@cali530marcos3 ok sounds good yeah I got an old water pump that's got a plug in it. Can't get it out too rusty I'll carry it with me to the parts store we'll see what happens hopefully I can find one thanks again for your help

I got them at Napa auto parts, they are Gates brand, got them for a 1966 impala with the 327 v8, my lower one is for a car with a/c because the non a/c one was too short

Hey bro what headers did u buy? I ordered some mid headers and the driver side did not fit they hit the steering wheel box, the passenger side cleared good

I’m having the same problem, I ordered some hugger headers but the way the piping is routed it also hits my steering gear box, gonna make a video on it tomorrow

Hello, I have a 67 4 door impala. I'm trying to remove the original radiator right now, on the lower RIGHT side there are 2 metal lines coming from it and the bolts are stripped. I'm thinking about cutting them loose to remove radiator but I don't wanna cut the wrong thing. What did you do with those 2 small metal lines?....

Are u talking about ur transition lines that bolt on to the radiator, if so try using some vice grips, or u can just replace the lines, they come pre bent for $45

@@cali530marcos3 Hate to keep bothering you but I'm wanting to swap out the original transmission cooling lines with flexible stainless steel hoses. Any tips?

@@clearedhot6146 I haven’t used flexible stainless steel lines yet but I would recommend routing it away from ur headers,
