My Cruze is 11 years old brought it back in 2020 it will be 4 years in March. We’re just getting to 99k, I love this car super strong and super reliable! I call it my truck because it had towed our belongings across the country!🫡💪🥹🔥🔥❤️

Thanks for sharing your experiences regarding your Chev Cruze. You do a good job. I have a 2015 Chev Cruze Ls 1.8L metallic blue 139k on it. Had it for 6 months now. I like it. It's a nice car, get 33avg mpg. Added some color and fancy trim to the interior to fancy it up. (Can't add pics of it to comment section here since no function to do so, else would ).

I have 199.4K miles in my Cruze,it needs driver side axles replaced and a thermostat but it’s running like a champ with zero issues. Cruze gang for life 🔥🔥🔥

So, got my Cruze this month. It’s a 2013 with 87k, bought it used from a dealership; 1.4l. Honestly going into it I was kinda sad about getting the Cruze, it felt like a compromise; like I was getting the car that made sense and wasn’t exactly everything I wanted. First car I’ve ever financed, I’ve bought everything else in cash and I was tired of driving old lemons that were my age (21). Going into it I thought to myself “man do I really have to settle for the eco tech? Low displacement engine that relies on a turbo to make the same power as its 1.8 liter brother”. I can happily say that I’ve retracted my statement. A surprisingly torquey engine that both satisfies my desire for fun and enthusiastic driving as well as economy reliability and safety. Then I found you, Cruze Culture, and trifecta. Realized that I really do have a car I can love. She has turned into my baby in the past few weeks, don’t think I could have made a better purchase.

Heck yeah, I’m super happy for you! I felt the same way in the beginning, these cars are surprisingly amazing. The great mpg is a plus as well, I’m glad you found something you enjoy and makes you happy

@@CruzinThroughLife Thanks dude I appreciate it, Its nice to find a community even if It is a little niche. Any advice on the preventative maintenance side of things? I'm a bit nervous driving it around right now after hearing the PCV horror stories. Still have a bit of time (87k) but I am looking into the cruzefix kits as well as a throttle body spacer as the first priorities. Really wanna make sure I future proof it right now

i went through the same thing, but the damn car has given me so many issues, no warranty lol. mad coolant problems, pcv fail. fuckin oil pan.. lol its been good to me since then though. 1 year ownership so far. 6spd at least!

Make it more reliable by getting zzp pcv kit, water outlet, turbo drain line, and thermostat and itll last longer, especially if you plan to keep it in the long run

I have a 2014 Chevy Sonic Hatch RS 1.4T with 46k on it. I have done minor preventative upgrades like aluminum water pump, aluminum thermostat housing, and I added a oil catch can. I was lucky to get the car with low miles with not much abuse to it. Should last another 10+ more years.

Amazing job 200k miles for a smaller engine, 1.4L, is a testimony to your care for it. Be interesting to get the stats on longevity based on engine type. Perhaps the 1.8 non turbo has to rev higher to get to speed, putting more strain on the engine, just guessing. A new paint job would be a perfect 10th birthday present for the Cruze 🎉. The red paint and black wheels look good, gives it a sports car edge, being thinking about that for my replacement. Cream would look sweet and classy not a bad idea to differentiate by choosing a non standard factory color.

Yes and no. The 1.4 turbo is a more problematic car. Turbo issues and more overheating issues. Revving higher to get up to speed isn’t an issue unless you’re trying to drive like your Ken block. I will say tho. Most cars WILL LAST IF YOU DO THE MAINTENANCE.
