Thanks for the TUTORIAL video, you showed the problem with the engine running at the beginning of the video but you did not show the problem being fixed with no engine noise after the repair. If you do a test of any kind early in the video, please show the same test near the end of the video to VERIFY the repair, cheers.

@@rockytop4 Have not had any problems at all. No codes, no vac leaks. I highly recommend this kit. You can get two of these kits for what one intake manifold will cost you, and the new manifold will inevitably fail.

Thanks for your effort making the video! Much appreciated, very useful. I was still a bit confused when watching the kit instructions. Seeing yours fully assembled really helped. Although I took my intake off the car because I couldn't confirm the orange check valve was there or not. Originally was going to replace the manifold until I found this kit! Thank you, you did well and the errors you left in the video help. We all make mistakes but you corrected them and made it work.

just did this and luckily I had already ordered a new PCV Hose for this car months earlier. Lucky I did because the valve in the bottom part.( near the turbo) eas completely gone. When you take that hose off if you can blow air from that bottom part then the valve is missing. On the new one when you look in that bottom part of that hose connector, you can clearly see the orange valve. You can actually suck through but you shouldn’t be able to blow through it. I simply took the new PCV hose. I got and cut the ends of it off to use instead of the old one. Not expensive at all on eBay or wherever anyways, I think this is something important people should know. If you did it without replacing the bottom part of that hose then you are probably missing that valve also. Should be easily remedied and replaced.

You’re supposed to let the JB Weld cure for at least 15 hours ( a little more if the temperature is cooler ) before reconnecting the fitting on top of the hole. 24 hours to be fully cured. When you put 5he replacement valve cover on I hope you put RTV in the “ cracks” on the passenger side of surface the valve cover sits on or you will have an oil leak ( KZbin replacing a valve cover on a Cruze ( Encore, Trax, Sonic ). The 2019 Encore has a different attachment point on the turbo end. There’s actually an outlet 90 degree bends and it attaches to the turbo intake tube that comes from the air filter box.

It’s 5.9 ft lb torque on the valve cover for each bolts.

We all drop stuff as mechanics. I was in the Air Force and the U-2 pilot had a bad altimeter. He was strapped in I reached over him to unscrew 4 screws and I dropped a screw. That scrubbed the mission and we had to pull the ejection seat out and part of the floor board to find the screw. So chit happens

i had to change valve cover cos membrane failed, also intake manifold cos PCV valve failed, and EVAP valve cos it too failed=) now its working=)

You blew it on the check valve. The longer piece of tubing is put on first and the shorter piece of tubing goes at the. Other end as the fitting on that end is slightly pointed down as the check valve needs to be slightly pointed down also.

It will solve the PCV problem on your Cruze. If your cruse still running good no drivability problems soon or later you will need this kit. I don’t give the part number because there is different versions.

Hey I got a question. I recently bought the fix kit to repair my check valve and corrugated hose. But upon further inspection of the port, my check valve is still visible but it's really gummed up. Cleaned it up a bit and it's definitely there not sure if it's working or not. I would like to go ahead with the fix but not sure if I should just pop the old check valve out before I plug it with the clip? How would you go about doing that? I was thinking just using a flathead screwdriver and trying to push it inside the manifold

hey man ! thanks for the question and i will do my best to help. So the orange plug is the trouble maker you need to remove it and plug that whole. that will fix the cruze problem.

I don’t remember the KM but that engine still going as we are speaking. Customer is happy with the fix no trouble at all.
