Chevy Equinox Engine Power is Reduced Solution

Sorry everyone for the bad audio quality on this video. The "Engine Power is Reduced" for this Chevy Equinox was caused by the "High Pressure Fuel Pump". The bolt broke which caused it to rattled loudly during the video. Replacing this component in most cases fixes the problem.

My Chevy equinox 2010 2.4 Ls , it activates in the STABILITY TRACK panel and won't let me turn it on, it accelerates and then turns off and on the Stabili track light. which may be?

This thing happens because one of the following: Old engine oil Low engine oil level No engine oil Damaged or dirty throttle body The fuel pump issue as explained in this video.

Should I add oil? It just did it to me right now. I check the oil level it has oil it seems. Since purchasing this vehicle a year ago I had to do several oil changes. Constantly adding oil every two weeks.

@@MiamiLifeInstantSwag you can add if the level is low, don't add oil if the existing one is old. (changing oil is preferred) If it doesn't work, check the other issues I've mentioned in my post.

​@Ramos hey my chevy equinox started doing this stability track and reduced power today and that was after it was making that noise in this video when driving it would tap and tick in and out so I checked oil and it was dry da stick mind you I just bought this careen a month knw so no oil I put oil in it ran it drove it and as I'm driving I get da stability message then the sudden lose of power and that message so I drove to da service shop and cut it off and turned it back on and it wouldn't start I went in talk to them about da car came out ND it started up fine nothing but a check light so far and I've been running it currently in idle for about 30mins no lose of power messages but it feels like it's rough idling at 1000 rpms

My Equinox consumes a lot of oil, I always have to take it in 1,000 miles before due date/mileage..

Dice que e problema fue la bomba de la gasolina de alta presión. Yo tengo el mismo problema con mi gmc terrain. Ya ordene la parte y veré si soluciona ese problema. Suerte!

HOLA,.. my 2015 equinox has the engine STILL running after turning off the ignition and pulling the key out. Noooo I’m not talking about pre ignition. This 2015 equinox 2.4 is healthy and maintenanced, however yesterday for the first time this happened and I had to pull out the “engine control relay” to get the engine to finally shut off.. even the electric fans were running. After pulling out the engine control relay, yes the engine stopped and the fans shut off too, ignition off and key out., there was still current going to the engine control relay. There should not be any current to any relays once the key is out and ignition off. I’m thinking the problem is in the steering column’s key ignition mechanism… what do you think?

Walk the key fob away from the car? That usually cuts the engine off, unless it was stolen n modified lol

Probably the camshaft guide inside the hole where the spring goes. This should be checked before inserting the pump.

All you have to do in those engines is time chain good pressure gas pump direct injection pump a good injectors some spark plugs clean the PCB valve orifice or take a oil 🛢️ reservoir and adapter to the car and Wala you got that boy running like a 🐈 is a crappy car yeaaaaa Chevy not made those car for ever and same cars is same as Europa Opel same on same but is easy to work on and parts are cheap
