Same issue on my 2012 Impala.. No modulating ground signal from the HVAC dash controller.. Pink wire corroded.. Looks like it was probed yet it was still all taped up in the conduit.. Damn GM harness.. Great video helped big time.. Thanks

Excellent information! Thanks! The variable disp. Compressors are more complex systems to diagnose. May I add that I believe the PW modulation signal to the compressor control valve is governed by the evaporator temperature sensor?

My ac in 07 impala also keeps clicking on/off meaning going from recirculation to fresh causing it to get hot but then switches back to cold. What could that be? Thx.

Where is the cold side at. To put my ac pro. Because it's not going at the port by the brake booster. Not sure if its because it's striped and no way for it to grab. Or if that's the wrong hot side

I'm curious as to what the psi readings were before the repair. My ac is not working as it should but the low and high side readinging are really high
@djquiq3 жыл бұрын
I can't remember what the readings were beforehand unfortunately. But in your case if the compressor is engaging and both high and low side psi readings are high, first thoughts are either an overcharge or a condenser that is very dirty. Could also be other things as well, but make sure it is properly charged first.

@@djquiq I figured it out. I have a Chevy impala 2010. It has 2 radiator fans. Only 1 was engaging which was enough to keep the engine at slightly higher then normal temp but the second is really for cooling off the ac condenser coils. Both fans have high and low but my fuse box was bad. I replaced fuse box now both fans work as they should AC BLOWING COLD. thanks for responding!!

So my ac was running warm on my 2013 Impala so I used the A/C Pro with uv dye to see any leaks and I found one coming from a hose from the compressor but I’m not sure when it runs to. It sits right between the cooling fans and the engine. Would it be compressor to condenser lines?

So my ac is not working, the snowflake on the ac button flashes 3 times, i don’t hear the ac compressor coming on either. The heat comes out when i put it on hot but obviously no ac, should I just get the ac compressor checked. I hate wasting money on a new compressor and it seemed to been working yesterday

Yep, when the ac button flashes its telling you the system has a problem. So definitely have someone check out your ac system.

My car still gets cold air when I’m driving through the fresh air vent so I think my compressor works fine but the fan won’t turn on. Is that a wire found in the same place? Similar problem or different?
@djquiq5 жыл бұрын
I'd check any fuses first of course. Then I'd go under the glove box remove the "hush panel", it has maybe 4 plastic clips holding it on and you'll see the blower motor. You could do a tap test on it like I do on the heater panel in this video and also check your blower motor resistor. If all wiring checks out intact, and if you're doing the work yourself, I would just replace the blower motor and resistor.

the blower stopped working in my 2012. changed the resistor and my blower turned back on. hello ac!

My car cooling fans blow hard, they work still too. But would the AC Compressor be the case? My air gets cool cold but it’s not as ice cold like it probably should be. could it be that?
@djquiq5 жыл бұрын
I'd get it recharged first and check from there. Hopefully you're just slightly low on refrigerant, because when the panel goes bad its normally just the AC works or it does not.
@ahmedalmidani27193 жыл бұрын
I have similar scenario. The air is cold but not cold enough to take the car in a hot day. What was the fix for yours? I checked the pressure in the refrigerant and it’s in its limit.

Could this be the same problem on an 06 Monte Carlo with the clutch not engaging and I have no voltage at the relay or the 10 amp fuse under the hood. Every couple days it will work perfectly then out of nowhere it quits again for a day or a few and then boom it works again?
