Tip for those bolts where you can't get 2 hands in there from somebody with giant hands. If you can't weld the bolt in place, use some construction adhesive or JB weld to hold the bolt still while you hand thread the nut on and then you can get after it with the wrench.

noticed your seats do not have the built in seat belts. Which means, you can put the matching silverado seats into your ram. the 24v cummins seats has built in seat belts, which really limits your options for seat swap. But you can definitely put 2014 silverado seats into your ram. then you wont need seat covers

For the record, that center console seatbelt may as well be cut out due to the fact it’s safety rating is now limited to the integrity of those aluminum brackets.... which as you may know, ain’t gonna hold up to much of an impact lol

The bracket work is all I’m saying would be enough of an integral compromise for me to rid the console of the seatbelt, and basically have a bucket seat interior. Meaning, the console never flips up and a passenger never sits in that seat. Which is no worse for the wear seeing as it’s a manual trans. Don’t take me wrong, I’m not dogging the workmanship, just speaking as if it were my personal vehicle. I think it is a perfect console for the second gen interior. Mainly in the name of now having functional cup holders. I meant no disrespect brother.

Alrighty. What’s the major issue that is likely to go wrong? It would be my first diesel, would it be a good option as a first diesel?

7.3s are great trucks. Most of the issues that happen to them are mostly a sensor related issue as the trucks are 20 years old the sensors can go bad. They also are known to leak oil. The hpop (high pressure oil pump) can go bad. Another thing is the glow plugs. Most 7.3s will give little to no problems especially if they are well maintained. A 6.0 would also be a good option. they have a bad reputation but just like any other car if well maintained they will last as long as you dont put a high horsepower tune with out headstuds.
