Just a heads up. I pulledthe dash and Insulated it up to the Windshield. After I was done, I stuck my head under the dash and notice a lot of noise coming up the steering column. So I insulated the column. I can now have a normal conversation in the truck.

Hey man thanks for the shout out!!! I wish I would have used some type of sound deadener when I did my carpet on my truck. Just a FYI I ordered my carpet from Amazon for like $200.

Sounds crazy but I did the body work on my old second gen myself and took it to Maaco in Indianapolis and bought the cheapest paint job they offered and it was like $600 and it actually looked pretty good tbh. Just a thought!

I got a 04 fummins f350 excab with a 2nd gen 12v swap. I got rattle trap, which im sure is similar to kilmatz. I was wondering about the firewall on the engine side. What could i put there for sound?

I put killmat down over all of my firewall. I later found out that you’re not supposed to do that. Been there 4 years, no issues yet.

Go get some black carpet and vinyl spray paint and paint the carpet. I used to work at a dealership and thats what we would do lasts a long time and looks better than old stained carpet

2 inch paint roller with a hard plastic over the roller will work in a pinch.

Should have just rented a shampooer like a rugDoctor..carpet would have came out a lot nicer probably. or buy one from Menards. For a decent one it was only like 250 bucks.

Brush the .... out of it with a wire brush or Duplicolor fabric paint
