And next time just use the magnet to pull the c-clips they will come out faster and use a wide gasket scraper to pull out old seals other than that good job 👏

Excellent video and great camera work. If you have to replace the seal in both sides do you just pull both axles and then replace the C clamp and pin. I have never done this but I might have to give it a go. Thank for all your help.

One thing I learnt from a seasoned mechanic was to buy a pump bottle and use varsol bulk, it’s way cheaper than brake fluid and actually cleans way better.

He definitely didn’t what that rear end cover to leak 😂 only half a tube of gasket maker later.

What kind of grease do you use to grease up the axle seal bearings?
@partsshooter3 жыл бұрын
If it was a red grease you saw during installation, then just a wheel bearing grease. Gear oil was used when refilling rear end.

The leaky seal getting on brake shoes? -no
@partsshooter2 жыл бұрын
Check for leaks in the brake system, worn wheel bearings or master cylinder. Also defective abs pump can cause mushy pedal or air in system

Ok thank you..... no leaks and my pads are fine. I bled them today but they still didn't get pressure. My abs light has been on a few weeks now.

I'm about to do this on mine. Do you think it's recommended to put blue thread lock on that carrier pin Bolt? Great job by the way.
@sleddarcheddar2 жыл бұрын
Yes. Definitely
@FlyEaglesFly191112 жыл бұрын
No thread lock on the carrier pin bolt. And get a new bolt as they are NOT supposed to be reused.

@@FlyEaglesFly19111 please do explain. There's no reason not to reuse it. It isn't torque to yield.
