Chevy Silverado & GMC Sierra AVS In Channel window visors

I like the way the in-channel look as well. Although, when I had the in-channel on my 08 Sierra, I ended up with water leaking into the door panel. I think what happened was that little bit of thickness from the in-channel tabs was just enough to pull the bottom of the window ever so slightly away from the weather stripping when the window was fully closed. Not enough to notice with the eye, but as we all know, water doesn't need much room.

I prefer the stick on ones that are not in channel. They stand out a lot more and don’t have to worry about the windows messing with it

Great explanation on how to install these AVS windows guards! I have used these in the past and they were the outside stick on type which were nice but the in channel looks a lot better, gotta get a set for my 2010 silverado. Thanks again!! :)

Nice tip with the adhesive! I don’t remember my last in channel rain guards coming with adhesive…. I must have gone super cheap…. Which probably explains why a wind storm took off with one of my rear rain guards. lol…. 50 mph winds but I kept looking for that dam thing for days!!😂

I had a car accessory install shop deny to put vent visors on my truck, saying they have a history of falling out have you had any knowledge of this? I was leaning toward getting the same brand the AVS that you show here or the EGR brand, I have a 2018 Silverado crew cab

Did you have a problem with your drivers side window staying up? I have a 2015 high country and the driver side would go back down even after a few days of leaving it up.

Hi Donnie, The main issue I have seen is the visor tucks back in to far and then pulls the visor into the window. Other then that they are pretty solid.

No, the only issue I have seen is they can warp and block the window

Not that I’m aware of. I have ran these on a lot of vehicles and never encountered that issue. However I have had them bend and come loose.

lol by the end of the video they are already warped. front warped on the left and back window warped in the middle. smh hate this product. failed me 3 times on my 21 gmc. never buy again
