Thank you for this! I try to work on my Sonic as much as possible, after having a bad experience where the shop literally lied to me. (Long story, but I think as a younger looking woman they figured I was naive and knew nothing about my car.) Finally had a low light headlight go out after almost exactly 10 years of owning it, ordered a 2 pack online to just take care of both, followed your video, and good as new!

This is awesome! My last car was a 2006 Marley Carlo. To change the headlights on that sucker had to be similar to oral surgery! It was very difficult! Mane, I just got a call from my sister askin if i could change her headlight. I watched this video not knowing anything about a Sonic. I was able to replace it in about 2-3 minutes. (Took a while to twist the old light bulb out). Thanx for this video. Otherwise i prolly would’ve tried to remove the whole assembly.

Other video I watched called for removing the entire bumper fender and head light case, I question how many times the wiper fluid filler is designed to be removed, that O ring might break eventually but I didn’t even have the trim remover tool needed to do it the other way so this vid saved me a major headache 👍

So it seem to be fairly easy to change! I just bought a kit of 4 LED bulbs for my Sonic 2012 (high beam and low beam) on Ebay. Something strange though, they have a rather large aluminum heatsink and a fan on them, i guess LEDs do create a lot of heat hence the need of a fan to push the heat off/cooling it down
