Question for ya are you supposed to put more trans fluid back if so where would it be located
@TerenceDIY
@TerenceDIY 3 ай бұрын
If you did lose enough fluid whereas you think you should add some more, you can check the dipstick level ONLY when the vehicle is running and if it is low, then use a small funnel and add it there. That's where you add trans fluid. The dipstick is located on the passenger side at the rear.

He sure did remove a good amount of crap out of his way. I just did mine--1st timer---.... I didn't completly remove any parts besides hoses/lines attached to my radiator on my 05 gmc sierra 1500 2wd. Once all hoses were detached.. I lossened the 4 top bolts (radiator fan & radiator bolts) pushed the fan back, (that way I won't have to disconnect the radiator fan circuits underneath))).. & I was able to carefully pull the radiator out & then very carefully drop my new radiator in.. Maybe... I had more space to work with than this guy on the video.. For my truck I sure as heck didn't buy the radiator before starting the job... God almighty... With or without oil cooler? With or w/o Transmission Cooler? Larger width or smaller width... I wasn't in the mood to solve more puzzles... There was too many radiators to choose from Guaranteed to fit my vehicle that are obviously different according to the parts store website.. But I did have a ride to the parts store bagged with a 45 gallon contractor bag once the old radiator was out to contain any small portion of remaining fluid in the old radiator.. I picked the right part, made sure it was a direct match with the old in compared to the new... & didn't leave my local parts store with the wrong part.. I hope my radiator isn't Chinese made... (Carquest from advance auto parts) I hate the Chinese Communist Party with a BURNING passion... Don't you dare miss the pick & hook tool & channel lock groove joint pliers... I prefer to keep the non screw on clamps for hoses if possible... due to lower risk of corrosion & over or under tightening. & Look at those hoses shortly after running hot as long as it's safe... If you see swelling... Time to replace if you choose to re-use them radiator hoses instead of replacing by default.. Mainly those fat B-i hoses linked to your radiator.. I could have had to dupe out between $700-1,200 of money I didn't have on my radiator replacement... instead of doing replacemnet myself..also didn't have time to wait on the only mechanic I trust...I only duped under $400 by doing it myself if I return the hose assortment clamp set & non used antifreeze of Concentrate instead of pre-mixed.. Mix your own antifreeze-Yourelf & get way more money per gallon... Way more money per gallon of expensive antifrreze/engine coolant...I did a full radiator flush myself 3 months ago, so I didn't give a crap about any reused portion of old engine coolant still in the system. Removing & putting in those snap rings the man in the video showed was torment to me twice... but the work is complete .. As a 1st timer with this... I would recommend picking them snap rings out of the new radiator & re-insert several times with a good pick & hook tool this man had already in his tool box.. I lost 1 twice but I still had my old 1's... Don't go with his Guy's radiator either... Those snap rings were way different in my point of view... Those have to be taken out of the new radiator to secure those lines before you re-attach those lines with the snap rings... I only knew that because my radiator was without engine oil cooler & with transmission fluid cooler... & I needed the larger width not the smaller width of radiator... The auto parts store website may say Guaranteed to fit your vehicle but there my be specs You have to know.. Old radiator with me.. Compare the new with the old... = No rolling out of the parts store with the wrong radiator. . I also didn't come back home with my new Radiator w/o 6 gallons of DISTILLED WATER.. would rather have too much than not enough @ $1 & change at Walmart to mix 50/50 with my concentrate antifreeze & have a liquid measuring tool.. I used 6 20oz bottles of empty water bottles.. You get more $$$ per gallon on engine coolant by mixing yourself... Water used for your engine CANNOT contain minerals or Sediments..
