Can’t wait to see it roar to life. Try to aim your exhaust at the back wheels with an outward angle to help clear the smoke from your doors so you can see the wall’s coming. If you point them straight up it doesn’t clear anything and you’re left sitting blind, but it is your build. I just live in the country 🐨🇦🇺🦘 that invented the real burnout and wanna see you rip it without wrecking it.

The engine in a s10 sets to the passenger side . Done a ton of them most all rear wheel drive cars do to clear steering shaft

Get the biggest radiator you can find, as coolant capacity & lower temps will keep the engine alive longer. An electric water pump may help aswell. Possibly a big fire extinguisher that is easy to get to. Better to have one & not need it than need it & not have it 😉😁

I’d suggest the biggest trans cooler you can possibly find, as you said, heat kills transmissions. Also from what I gather zoomies or a hood dump exhaust will be best to help get the crowd excited!

Exhaust idea! : Run duals dumped right at the rear axel pointing downwards just behind each tire…. It should blast the burnout smoke for a HUGE cloud. 💪

A tire cutter welded into the rear of the wheel well or bolted. I'd look into some of the young Aussie's making bits cheep to help there performance on the skid pad. Just a thought. Aussie long term viewer love the channel and your work and the get it done attitude. Wish we could do projects like you are able to and drive them around and not have the book thrown at us in court and kicked off the roads for a few years until we got a licence back🤣🤣

What about just using some diamond plate as a “tonneau cover” instead of boxing everything in the back. Could just put it on hood pins for now or maybe hinge it and have it on some hood lift supports so you can still access the radiator etc.

You can use the original rear brakes for hydraulic handbrake since you are not using them for the foot brake.

You need all the power you can get for the burnput pit. All that rubber builds up quickly & makes it harder to spin. Also, GEAR RATIO is a big deal too. So it dont bog down & chug.

They may have offset it to one side to offset the weight that the driver adds to the vehicle . My Camaro is fiberglass on the front and steel on the back . And that gives it a 50/50 weight balance , better than the Corvette in fact .
