I still buy this from time to time. About $11.75 or so now here in Texas. The flavor, cut, and texture are all delicious. I took for granted $3.00 a bag chew as a young man. Still a pleasant sweet treat in between rolls of Copenhagen snuff.

Mr. Suit, you are a bad influence on me! ;) I started watching you for your great reviews on snus and nasal snuff. Now I am dabbling in dip and bought a pouch of chew for the first time (I'm 53). Only kind the store had was the Golden Blend at $12.89 a pouch here in Oregon. From the looks of it, I would guess the lighter color leaves are Virginia tobacco and the darker ones are Burley. Similar to what you find in some pipe blends. Cannot wait to try it out. Keep up the good work sir.

I think it's golden blend because it has honey on it. It's definitely honey . It's the reason it's always been my favorite chew. The honey overpowers the molasses liquorish flavor in golden blend. Most people either love it or hate it

Some people keep a chaw in for an hour? good god. I don't know if I just chew mine more and suck all the juices out of it faster, but I toss a chew after 20-30 minutes. Sometimes at work I'll spit one our after ten fifteen minutes if I'm real busy

This product is awesome, wish I’d tried chew years ago! I always enjoyed a little nicotine here and there but I don’t like to smoke too often, and never cared too much for dip. Wintergreen especially isn’t me for me. Never even occurred to me to try chew. Your review led me to golden blend, this stuff is the best!

It's light, as in like light cig's. The taste, like cane sugar with tobacco back flavor/aftertaste. I would prefer regular Redman, back to chewing again to give my lungs a break rather then smoking cig's which I just do with raw tobacco, machine and filtered tubes. It's at least not going to overwhelm you for those that don't chew normally though.

I remember going to an old NWMP (North West Mounted Police - precursor to the RCMP) Fort that was operational in the late 1800s. I remember the tour guide saying that in the summer, the police would chew loose-leaf tobacco in the barracks. When they we’re done with it, they would stick the wad on the window, let it dry out and then smoke it in their pipes in the winter. This would make for an interesting episode considering you mentioned that you smoke a pipe. Wondering if you would get any residual nicotine by smoking it after it has been chewed.

One of my favorite chewing tobaccos a buddy of mine got me to chewing it back in the mid 1990's it's a little pricey here too between $7 to $8 a pack depending on where you get it another great video.

I have been chewing Golden Blend for a while. Here in Georgia they come out with a $1.99 pack of chew. It is called "Big Duke." Just wonder if you have tried it? Like I said, "Redman Gold and the regular Redman" is my chew. I have tried the dip, not a fan of dip. I chewed Beechnut, Levi Garrett ($11.00 a pack). Cannonball is tough, but I like it when I umpired baseball and refereed football.
